American Banker's review of the 50 largest U.S. banks found that 24 had tokenized deposits on their radar in the first quarter, up from 19 a quarter earlier; seven were piloting or testing them and four had active products. The report says Wells Fargo plans to let corporate clients move U.S. dollars and British pounds through tokenized deposits for cross-border payments, with expansion to more clients, countries and currencies planned.
