PYMNTS reports that TabaPay closed a USD 155 million strategic financing led by FTV Capital and agreed to acquire OCC-chartered, FDIC-insured Transact Bank. The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026 subject to regulatory approval, after which the bank would be renamed TabaBank. TabaPay says its API supports card- and bank-network payments and payouts through more than 20 partner banks in the United States and Canada.
