Circle officially opens its national trust bank

American Banker reports that Circle National Trust became legally operational on July 24 after Circle received a national trust bank charter from the OCC. Circle CFO Jeremy Fox-Geen said the charter is intended to support future custody services and give Circle flexibility over where USDC may be issued and how reserves may be managed, but Circle has not changed USDC's underlying operations yet.
